This awareness based approach to free movement is based on Amerta Movement, created by internationally respected movement practitioner and artist, Suprapto Suryadarmo, with whom Claire has trained and practiced for 23 years. It is a free-form practice, guided by words and movement, by our own inner impulse,
our relationship with our environment and our connections with each other. You will be supported and encouraged to open up your sensing through the body, to experience your body in movement and new ways of moving, to receive yourself and the environment together, to re-integrate with the natural world.
This afternoon is offered on donation basis.
Your payment is your gift in exchange for the offering of the teaching.
Wear comfortable outdoor clothes and bring food to share afterwards.
Limited to 8 people.

FIRE IN THE HEART CAVE: candlelit restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra workshop to celebrate the Solstice.
Date: Dec 20th
Venue: Yoga Loft, Cork
An evening of deep rest and returning home to self, to honour the winter Solstice. This is a time of deep rest and hibernation, where we turn inwards to reflect and experience gratitude for the year gone by.
In ancient stories, there is a myth of the sun descending into a cave deep in the earth, to rest before returning again. We too are called to descend into the cave of self, the cave of the heart. a time of transition and transformation, letting go of the old self so we can rise again, be born anew.
Yoga NIdra (guided, meditative rest) includes time to create a San Kalpa, an inner intention by which we can support our transformation and bring new light into our lives.
Restorative yoga is a shedding, a turning inwards, a surrender. Through supported gentle stretches, supported fully by props, we able to release long held tension. Our nervous system is soothed, our heart is eased.
All are welcome.
Cost €25. includes chocolate treats.
Pre-booking essential, numbers limited.
