Yoga practices and philosophy, alongside Amerta Movement, provide the tools for this experiential course to return you home to

Body, Heart, Mind and Spirit, evolve your understanding of self and develop compassionate awareness and re-connection

to the vibrancy of the world in your everyday life

Who is it for? 
  • Practitioners of Yoga, meditation, therapy, or other movement forms who want to deepen their understanding and experience of yoga and movement.

  • Anyone interested in developing a home practice

  • Yoga practitioners who have completed a teacher training who wish to continue to deepen their own practice and knowledge

  • Anyone wishing for time for self-care, reflection and developing their connection with themselves.

Because Yoga forms a primary part of this course, some previous experience of yoga is required.​

What does the course offer?
  • Experiential study of yoga models of the 8 limbs, koshas and chakras

  • A broad range of practical experiences and techniques drawing from Yoga and Movement: Hatha and restorative yoga asana, pranayama, mantra, mudra, movement meditation, traditional yogic meditations, ritual, yoga nidra and karma yoga.

  • Study of yogic philosophy through the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

  • Monthly practices, sequences and support for self-study at home.

  • Guidance to bring yoga off the mat and into your daily life and develop everyday awareness. Including reflection on the Yamas and Niyamas (guidances for living).

  • Sangha: support of like-minded community, through check-ins with fellow participants and group discussion.

  • Regular one-to-one check-ins with your course facilitator.


Course aims:
  • develop a deeper level of compassionate understanding of self through the practices of Yoga and Movement.

  • develop everyday awareness of patterns, habits, conditioning, on all levels of being (mental, physical emotional)

  • to access connection to everyday spirituality and what that means for you

  • to gain a deeper understanding of the practices and philosophies behind the practices of Yoga

  • to return home to your true self

2020 schedule:

 January 18th-19th, February 15th, March 14th, April 4-5th, May 2nd, June 6th, July 4-5th


Your commitment:
  • Attendance of modules.

  • Daily home practice.

  • Reading materials provided to prepare for each module.

  • 2 one-to-one check in chats with Claire during the course. These are an opportunity to receive personal guidance, as well as discuss anything that has arisen for you as part of the course.


An Sanctoir, Ballydehob, West Cork:  A beautiful secluded, octagonal building, surrounded by a 30 acre nature reserve.



€1100 / Early bird before November 30th 2019 €990. Deposit of €500 secures your place.

Places limited to a small group to enable maximum personal support from Claire.

You fee includes two private supervision sessions with Claire during the course, all reading materials and practices, and a simple lunch each day and a simple lunch.


Bookings and information:


  • Acceptance on the course is dependent on your application form and pre-course interview.

  • Some previous experience of Yoga necessary, all levels are welcome.

  • Numbers on the course will be kept small to ensure individual attention.
